Laundry Cottage is over 200 years old and is in the heart of our lovely fruit farm. It has a large secluded garden. Guests enjoy the opportunity to feel part of a fully functioning farm and visitor attraction while still gaining peace, privacy and a chance to relax. Charleton Fruit Farm has long been a popular visitor attraction. Loved by locals and travellers alike, the farm has a relaxed, friendly and welcoming feel. Situated in the UK’s best soft fruit growing area, the farm offers a great range of Pick Your Own produce. There is also a friendly cafe with breakfast and lunch options, a lovely farm shop and a free to use children’s park. The site is extensive and it is easy to find time and space to relax even on the busiest summer days.

Montrose is one of the four key Angus towns in the region often credited as ‘Scotland’s Historic Birthplace’. There are some attractive beaches and nature reserves on our doorstep and the immediate area also provides great opportunity to enjoy relaxing walks and cycles- or, if you’re a serious cyclist, we can point you in the direction of some excellent challenges-such as the Cairn O’ Mount one of the UK’s top 100 climbs- and other superb touring routes. Montrose itself has some interesting local history including the UK’s first operational operational airfield (now a museum) and the beautiful House of Dun. Montrose has one of the world’s oldest golf clubs while a visit to Links Park allows visitors the opportunity to experience some real Scottish League Football. Montrose also has a very interesting sculpture and statue trail which helps visitors explore the town’s heritage and cultural contribution and there are some good antique shops in the area including the quirky ‘Steptoe’s Yard’ which takes reclamation to the most extreme levels imaginable! The key cities of Aberdeen and Dundee are each around 30 miles away and easily reachable by car or public transport.
