The 16th century Longhouse, which has now been split into the Farmhouse, Cottage and Hayloft has been in the Wenner family for over 50 years, gradually evolving into what it is today. The Lakehouse, a truly unique labour of love, really reflects the Laythams ethos of living sustainably and within nature. The Farmhouse and Cottage offer the perfect retreat within the charm of a 16th century Pennine longhouse. They have interconnecting doors, so each property can be used independently or together for larger groups. All properties are pet friendly . The Farmhouse and Cottage benefit from gorgeous panoramic views, which you can enjoy from one of the several seating areas in the spacious yard, as well as preparing delicious holiday barbecues. Laythams Farmhouse and Cottage is ideally situated if you’re looking to escape from the stresses of everyday life and retreat into the countryside. Even on incredibly busy days, we’re lucky enough to only have about a dozen vehicles passing the gates of the farm. Despite this, there are plenty of amenities within a short walking distance and an abundance of nearby activities to try during your holiday. For a romantic break away look no further than our gorgeous Hayloft complete with private garden, Hot Tub, fire pit, sun loungers and hammock to relax in. You’ll be charmed immediately by the Hayloft’s splendid views of the beautiful Forest of Bowland, wood burner and luxurious ensuite bathroom. Intimate meals may be enjoyed outside at the private terrace, inside overlooking the glorious scenery, or nearby at one of the many excellent local country pubs and restaurants. Privacy, peace, luxury, relaxation, enhanced by great facilities, make this a perfect haven for any couple. Please be aware that we accept pets at the Hayloft on request. The Lakehouse is the ideal discreet getaway for couples, families and groups of friends. Set over 3 acres with its own private woodland and lake, it’s easily accessible, yet off the beaten track. The perfect place to reconnect without giving up any of life’s luxuries. The Lakehouse is also the ideal venue for small scale executive think tank weekends and business meeting space.
