I hope you will enjoy staying here while you explore this beautiful part of the world.
Marina Boathouse is a unique place to look out into the lake as well as the marina itself. Take our champagne bucket out onto the balcony, relax and watch the boats go by, the herons and the cormorants; you might even get to see the otter or kingfisher. Just a 10 minute walk from the bustling lakeside village of Bowness-on-Windermere, it is the perfect place to stay and enjoy all that the Lake District has to offer. Climb a mountain or take a stroll along the shore to Bowness Bay where you can take a cruse on the lake. Everything is here for you to enjoy your holiday in our well equipped apartment, at a pace to suit you. Explore the fells or the quirky and unique local shops. Fish for your supper or try some of our fabulous restaurants. Try out some water sports or hop on the ferry across the lake and visit Beatrix Potter's house at Far Sawrey. If you don't fancy the night life of Bowness the twinkling lights of the marina from the balcony make a beautiful romantic setting.

I love living in Windermere. I enjoy running, walking, open water swimming and cycling, I'm so lucky to have everything I love on my doorstep.
There's loads to do here, or you can just sit back and relax! A huge range of water sports, walking, hiking, fell running, mountain biking, historic houses and museums, a distillery, boat cruises, theatres, and a large choice of lovely cafes, bars and restaurants. We have 17 lakes in the Lake District (now a world heritage site) and they all have their own personality. There are many iconic peaks too, Scarfell, Helvelyn, Bowfell, Great Gable and the Langdale Pikes to name but a few.
