This cosy cottage has been granted a 3* Rating by Northern Ireland Tourist Board. The cottage has been completely refurbished inside and out spring 2020 while unable to open due to lock down. The cottage is the perfect get away where you will enjoy superb views and perfect relaxation. It is ideally situated only 1 mile from the quaint harbour village of Annalong (or 25 min walk). Kilkeel is 5 Miles away and Newcastle 7 miles so loads to do in the area. If you enjoy walking the mountains are only a 10 min drive to the various car parks where you would start your walks. The owners Joey and Aileen live on site in a separate house with their daughter, small friendly dog, and ponies. We can be contacted easily by phone and are very happy to help with any queries. We really hope that anyone staying with us enjoys their break as we live in a very beautiful part of the world. We have so many walks nearby and if it’s total relaxation you are looking for you will find it here. We use a keypad so guests can come and go and have their own space and enjoy home from home comforts. But if you need us we are readily available. The cottage now has a closed in back patio which is ideal for anyone bringing their dogs.

Some of the local attractions include the famous Mountains of Mourne that sweep down to the sea, the stunning Silent Valley and Ben Crom Reservoirs. The historical trip round the Annalong Corn Mill Museum (open 2pm - 5pm) which gives great insight into the everyday lives of the farmers, millers and stonemasons whose existence was so dependant upon the rich and imposing Mourne landscape. The Mill is situated right on the harbour at Annalong with beautiful walks along the shore. Greencastle Royal Castle one of those little off-the-beaten-track gems, in the most tranquil of settings overlooking Carlingford Lough. On the shores of Carlingford Lough, the Rostrevor Mountain Bike Trails offer some challenging mountain biking where efforts are rewarded with incredible coastal views and exhilarating singletrack descents. With a mouth watering 27km red trail and a hair raising 19km black trail Rostrevor is believed by many to be the top spot for mountain biking in Ireland. When you add not just one but two purpose-built downhill trails to the mix, there’s no denying it… Rostrevor is a mountain bikers’ haven!
