Looking over to the Hambleton Hills in the East, our beautifully designed, built and furnished single storey cottage lays tucked away to the side of our old family farmhouse. Ideal for those looking for quality and luxury in a rural farm setting, Morndyke cottage has all the qualities of a country escape. The french windows in the living room open onto your patio that has chairs, a table and a fire pit to keep you warm and comfortable on a summer’s evening. This then leads onto the old English garden that in turn leads to the second largest parrot sanctuary in the country. Don’t worry, the parrots sleep all night and will entertain you with their antics throughout the day. They are addictive, colourful and strangely peaceful - imagine your own corner of Costa Rica in the Yorkshire countryside.
Alan & Tricia Phillips are the owners of Morndyke. It has been in their family for 120+ years.
What Alan & Tricia do at Morndyke: Farming, fencing, equestrian, holidays , fishing lake and the founders of a stunning parrot sanctuary charity.
Morndyke is a rural and a working farm on the doorstep of the Moors, the Dales, and the cities of York, Ripon and the towns of Thirsk & Northallerton. We are central to all that is good about Yorkshire.
