Having run Penmachno Hall as a B&B since 2003, the pandemic in 2020 caused us to reflect and reimagine our business, as we felt that we could not offer the same service in the "new normal" of 2021. With 10+ years experience of also running our two bedroom self-catering Coach House we decided to revamp the offer in the main house. We now offer a self-catering apartment / suite inside Penmachno Hall. This consists of two double en-suite bedrooms, & a living/dining room with attached kitchenette. Bedroom 1, has a king size sleigh bed, en-suite bathroom with a Victorian roll top free-standing bath (no shower). This is accessed from the living room area. Bedroom 2, located across a shared landing space, has a super-king double bed, that can be configured as two single beds (with 24 hours notice), en-suite with shower (no bath). The living room / kitchenette has a 2 seater sofa, two single chairs, dining table with 4 chairs, 2 ring hob, microwave combi-oven, dishwasher & more, Smart TV, XBox 1 & superfast broadband are also included. In August 2021 we added a 3-4 person hot tub in a quiet corner of the garden for your exclusive use. Please note that we no longer provide any meals.

Having almost 20 years of hosting experience at Penmachno Hall, Lauraine and Simon, who live on site, are always available to offer advice, or if your require any assistance, for your stay in the area. They also understand that you are here to relax so know when to leave you to yourselves. As we live on the premises you should be aware that the hall, stairs, and landing are spaces that are shared with us. Please note that we offer check in from 16:00 (4pm) until 21:00 (9pm) at the latest. Unfortunately we are unable to accept later check ins. We have two cats on the premises, who we keep contained in our own part of the property, as far as is possible with cats. They are not allowed access to the guest apartment. Please bear this in mind if you suffer serious allergies to fur etc.

On the edge of the Snowdonia National Park, and 4 miles from the busy tourist hub of Betws y Coed, there are plenty of attractions and activities to occupy your stay in the area. As well as walking the extensive peaks of Snowdonia the area also offers World Heritage Site Castles, numerous heritage railways, Zip World Adventures, Surf Snowdonia, many world class mountain bike trails, Go Below caving experiences, numerous award winning beaches..... the list goes on. It has to be noted that public transport to Penmachno, our village is very very limited, having to be pre-booked in advance, although links from Betws y Coed across the area are very good, especially during the busy summer months. If you do not have your own transport our apartment may not be the place for you!
