Our cosy cottage has all amenities to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. It has two bedrooms, one double bed bedroom (standard sized double bed) and a small cosy twin bedroom, this room can be made up with twin beds or a single. We have a small dining area in the well equipt kitchen, that can seat 4, a comfy Living room and the bathroom is upstairs, located next to the bedrooms. The cottage has on street parking and generally you can park next to the cottage or a very short walk from the village Main Street. There is FreeView TV, DVD player with lots of games, boxsets and films. Wifi connection is strong.
We have been fortunate to do a lot of travelling around the world and use Bookingcom on our travels. We love Scotland and living in Aberenthy, we are only a few minutes away from walking in a beautiful forest & hills or a 30minute drive to a beautiful Fife beach, with our pet dog Bella the minature schnauszer. We enjoy hikes, trail running, cycling and wild swimming and all possible on our doorstep.
Located in stunning Perthshire, our beautiful cottage in Abernethy is a great Central Scotland base for you to travel and discover Scotland or just relax in the peaceful village. Lots of beautiful walks, great running and MTB trails and close to St. Andrews and Gleneagles for golf. Only 3 miles away, you can visit the recently opened Lindores Abbey Distillery. After a 500-year break, whisky pilgrims will finally be able to see Single Malt distillation happening once again on this historic site. The village has its own wee grocery shop and Jamesfield Farm shop & cafe is a 5min drive or a nice flat walk. The village has its own great museum and The Round Tower is one of only two left in the whole of Scotland; You can get access to the tower by getting the key from the museum. Great walks, fun playparks for the kids and a great base to travels around Perthshire, Fife and close enough for day trips to Inverness, Edinburgh or Glasgow. Dundee, the city of Discovery, with the V&A Museum is 30min drive away and The Fife Coastal Path starts in Newburgh and again a very short drive along to the next village. You can't miss visiting the new Perth Museum which homes The Stone of Destiny. Free too! Lots of places to visit and eat at in Perth and there is frequent buses from Abernethy or arrange a taxi. For eating out the nearest restaurant is The Bein Inn. Bridge of Earn has restaurants & bars and a larger Supermarket, again only a 10min drive away. The award winning Boars Head Restaurant & Bar in Auchtermuchty is 8 miles away.....Get along for the Sunday Roast. For further information on visitor attractions etc the hosts are happy to help.
