Famau View Farm is a lovingly restored, Grade II listed stone barn that was once a Shippon belonging to the neighbouring estate. Now, it's a charming, character-filled holiday home offering exceptional countryside views and a peaceful rural retreat. The property offers a spacious studio with a king bed, two single sofa beds, a kitchenette, and an en-suite - ideal for families. Upstairs, there’s a double and a king bedroom with a shared family bathroom. At the opposite end of the barn, a private double room with its own staircase and en-suite provides extra comfort and privacy.

Having grown up in the neighbouring village of Pantymwyn, I know Cilcain well and had cycled past a derelict barn on this site many times as a youngster. So when the barn came up for sale with approved plans to convert it into a dwelling, I was irresistibly drawn to the challenge! Since then I have spent over ten years (and the GDP of a small nation) turning it into the property it is today. I'm proud to now be able to share this unique property and it's stunning views of the Clwydian Range with guests from all over the world, and every positive comment I receive brings me huge pleasure and reminds me that it was all worthwhile.
