We believe that spending quality time with friends and family (and four legged friends) should be on the top of our leisure list. We set ourselves the challenge to find unique cottages with special features where groups could really make themselves at home, whether 'home' is playing games around a roaring log burner, kicking off muddy boots and pouring yourself a well deserved glass of wine or cooking up a family feast while the children run off their energy in the garden. Naturally the Cotswolds was always going to be our target area, living and working here means we have become completely embedded  with country living.

Rathbone Cottage is situated on Park Street in the heart of Stow-on-the-Wold. This quintessential market town is the ideal location to explore all that the Cotswolds has to offer. On entering the cottage you will step into a wide airy hallway with two large sitting rooms either side, one has ample seating for up to six guests, a flat screen TV, log burner (some logs supplied) and is beautifully decorated. The other sitting room doubles up as a bedroom for parties of over 6 with a pull out sofa bed and is the ideal spot to hide away with a good book and a freshly brewed coffee. Further into the cottage you will find your complimentary Welcome Hamper in the stylish fully fitted kitchen which boasts dishwasher, fridge/freezer and plenty of glassware and crockery for your use. The downstairs also benefits from an open plan dining area ideal for entertaining and eating together. Also located on the ground floor is a modern bathroom and utility room with a washing machine and a large, luxurious walk in shower. The back door leads out onto a private, sunny patio and pretty garden which is a perfect suntrap during the summer months. Upstairs are two incredibly spacious bedrooms with high ceilings and views over the High Street. Each room has been individually decorated and has king size beds and crisp white linen. The third upstairs bedroom is a cosy room with small double looking out over the patio. The upstairs bathroom is finished to a very high standard featuring exposed beams a full size bath and walk in shower.

Stow-on the-Wold is the highest of the Cotswold towns standing exposed on 800 feet high Stow Hill at a junction of seven major roads, including the Roman Fosse Way. At the height of the Cotswold wool industry the town was famous for its huge annual fairs where as many as 20,000 sheep were sold at one time. Stow has some wonderful boutique shops, restaurants and is a perfect base to explore all that the Cotswolds has to offer
