There is an old quote that says you should never ‘judge a book by its cover’, and this could be true of Ridgeway Farmhouse, with its simple exterior belying the stylish design found within. Surrounded by an expansive wrap-around garden with a wood-fired hot tub, this dog-friendly, four-bedroom house sleeps eight guests in comfort and offers the most glorious views over the Ragley Estate. With fields and trees as far as the eye can see, and historical gems such as William Shakespeare’s Stratford-upon-Avon and the beautiful Cotswolds within easy striking distance, Ridgeway Farmhouse is the perfect choice for a break in the English countryside. It is the policy of this property not to take bookings for groups where the majority of guests are under the age of 25, or single-sex group celebrations, including stag/hen parties. Please note that additional guests above the maximum capacity are not permitted. Ragley Hall regularly hosts popular events such as The Game Fair and Classic Ibiza. We advise that you check their calendar of events prior to booking as there can be some noise disruption and congestion on surrounding access roads. 2 well-behaved dogs are welcome for an additional fee of 40 GBP per dog. This fee is not included in the rental price. Please advise us at the time of booking if you are bringing dogs and you will be sent a request for the additional fee. Please make yourself aware of the hot tub rules and hours of use. An additional fee of 75 GBP applies and it must be requested at the time of booking.  The hot tub will not be lit on arrival and we are unable to take requests for this to be prepared. If you would like bedroom 2 to be arranged as a Twin, please contact us directly 7 days before arrival. A 25% deposit is required at the time of booking. This is fully refundable up to 60 days of arrival when your remaining balance payment is due.

Ridgeway Farmhouse forms part of the Ragley Estate and is ideally placed for attending one of the many events held there throughout the year. The peaceful setting offers beautiful views over the estate to the Cotswold hills in the distance. Pack wellies and walking boots as there are a number of footpaths nearby, including one which skirts Ragley Park, through the estate to nearby Arrow. Head the other way through Weethley Wood for more trails. There are several great pubs within a 7-minute drive and Hiller’s award-winning farm shop and café, which stocks Ragley Estate Meats and boasts a divine cheese counter, is 1.5 miles. Stratford-upon-Avon is only 20 minutes away where you can enjoy world-class theatre at the Royal Shakespeare Company and a diverse array of dining. Supermarkets and Shopping: Hillers Farm Shop (1.5 miles) offers an array of homemade and local produce and includes a deli, excellent cheese counter, Ragley Estate Meats and Hillers Fish Shop. There is a large Tesco, ALDI, and Sainsbury’s in Redditch (7 miles). Most major supermarkets will deliver to Ridgeway Farmhouse. Eating Out: Hillers Café, an award-winning farm shop cafe (1.5 miles) The Fish at Wixford, a quirky and colourful dog-friendly pub (3.2 miles) The Tavern, Broom, a 16th-century pub with open fires and a beer garden (3.2 miles) Walks: There are lots of walks in the surrounding countryside, some from the front door and some a little further afield but worth the jaunt in the car. Oversley Woods is an ancient woodland just 4 miles away, and during springtime is carpeted with bluebells. The Heart of England Forest (8.5 miles) is a new broadleaf forest across Warwickshire and Worcestershire, which has 8 waymarked trails over varying distances and terrains whilst the 27-mile Arden Way loop trail runs through Alcester (3 miles).
