Informatie over de accommodatie
Set alongside a village church, Rose Cottage is a delightful Grade II listed Cotswold stone property overlooking the surrounding commons and hills. Footpaths lead from your doorstep to spectacular viewpoints, and you are within walking distance of the village pub.
Sitting above the road your first impression of Rose Cottage will not disappoint as you walk through the wooden garden gate to the front door. Decorated throughout in muted tones of calming green, the centre piece of the living area is the woodburning stove in a carved stone surround. This cosy area with its luxuriously soft sofa is made for putting your feet up and enjoying the views through the original leadwork windows. At the other end of this space is a dining table seating six beside a feature stone hearth. Small touches including retro style radios in each room, beautiful curtains, soft furnishings, and Cotswold artwork bring this area together. In the well-equipped kitchen you will find Emma Bridgewater and Denby Pottery crockery, making this cottage a little bit more special.
Set over three floors, the steep cottage stairs lead up to the king-size double and family bathroom on the first floor. With cushioned window seats this floor offers fabulous views to the South East. Continuing up the stairs are two more bedrooms, a twin and a double which looks across to the church and its graveyard.
To the side of the cottage is a small lawned area separated from the gravelled front pathway by trelliswork. Flower beds and mini manicured hedges add to the charming appeal of Rose Cottage.
1 well-behaved dog is welcome for an additional fee of 40 GBP per dog. This fee is not included in the rental price. Please advise us at the time of booking if you are bringing a dog and you will be sent a request for the additional fee.
Please note a 25% deposit is required at the time of booking. This is refundable up to 60 days prior.
• There is a low perimeter wall to the front of the cottage with a high drop beyond.
