Renovated to a high standard in 2019, Sea Moss Cabin is Chalet 1 on the Woodlands Holiday Park, Bryncrug. It is fully accessible yet tucked away discretely on the opposite corner of the Car Park to the Clubhouse. It has it’s own parking space, as well as patio and garden areas. These amenities have a sweeping view of the fields descending towards the coast. This South Westerly vista gives views of the sunset over the sea. Set up the dining table and large parasol (which are provided in the cabin) for a relaxing and scenic outdoor setting. The immediate vicinity has Scots Pine trees and Buddleia bushes that will attract butterflies in summer. Many species of birds can be heard singing in the woods. The interior is newly decorated with a seaside theme and is open plan (except the ensuite shower and toilet.) The double bed folds up into the wall when not in use, further increasing the space inside the Cabin. There is a kitchenette with a standalone gas cooker and hob. Bed linen and towels are provided. Also electricity, gas, internet and TV services are all covered within the price so no inconvenient meters or further payments are required.

Hi! We are Angela and Brian and we warmly welcome you to our cabin that looks out to the sea. For the last eighteen years we have owned and run the Pen-y-Bont Hotel in Talyllyn, which is just eight miles away into the mountains at the foot of Cadair Idris. On your arrival, Angela will introduce you to Sea Moss Cabin to show you round and help you to get familiarised. When this is not possible, we will provide you with the code for the key box and our telephone numbers so that you can call us if you have any questions. We will be delighted to help you choose places to visit to make the most of your holiday, and can provide leaflets for local attractions. We are interested in local history, myths and legends too and should you pop in to see us we might get a chance to share some of these with you.

Tywyn, Aberdovey, Fairbourne and Barmouth all have beautiful sandy beaches. Aberdovey is particularly warm and sheltered, with quaint little shops and fishing boats. Behind the sand dunes is Aberdovey Golf Course. Barmouth has seaside shops, places to eat and Clogau Gold in the hills. Nearby is the world famous Talyllyn Railway, the oldest restored steam railway in the world. You will be under cover should it rain, and the views are spectacular. On the journey you can visit Dolgoch falls and see the water cascading down the mountainside, dripping over mosses and ferns. You are now close to the Cadair Idris mountain massif, the second highest massif in Snowdonia. Talyllyn lake nestles beneath it’s foothills, with views to fill you with wonder. The walk is steep from Minffordd, but very popular with hikers as it is the most direct route to the summit. It also passes Llyn Cau, a deep glacial lake high up the mountain. Nearby Harlech Castle was built by Edward 1 to dominate the landscape and it’s people. Also there is Castell-y-Bere, just 7 miles from Sea Moss Cabin. The remains of this beautiful Welsh castle are a unique tourist attraction.
