Situated halfway between the Cornish villages of Pillaton and St Mellion, in 30 acres of woodland and bordering the famous St Mellion Estate, Oakridge is a small community of 20 stone-built lodges. The lodges are built on a slope in an 'upside-down' style to take advantage of the fine views from the first floor. A 3 mile drive takes you to the St Mellion Estate, with its superb hotel, leisure facilities and golf courses. The resort has two championship golf courses - the Jack Nicklaus course and the Kernow Course. The lodge includes: free use for 2 people of the sport and leisure facilities at St Mellion, which include indoor swimming pools, gym and spa; free golf for 2 people - unlimited rounds on the Kernow course and Jack Nicklaus course. Additional guests receive a discount on the Kernow course and discounted rates to use the St Mellion indoor leisure facilities. Leisure and golf usage can be simultaneous (i.e. 2 non-golfers could use the leisure facilities while the golfers are out on the course). Well-furnished and comfortable 2 bedroom lodge. On the ground floor are two bedrooms, one a queen-size double with en-suite bathroom and the other a twin with en-suite shower room. Stairs to the first floor open-plan living/kitchen/dining area with comfortable furniture, Freesat TV/DVD/CD player, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, fridge/freezer. Balcony to the front and terrace with table, chairs and barbecue to the rear. WiFi. Additional Information: The Hotel Reception has no involvement with the Oakridge Lodge properties. Please note: Guests staying at Oakridge with small children should note that there are a number of unfenced small ponds in the landscaped grounds. No 14 is accessible up a small but steepish, stepped slope from the car parking area and therefore would not be suitable for anyone with mobility difficulties. There are four wooden steps then sloped gravel path then a further nine wooden steps (handrail on flight of steps). Car essential.

St Mellion is close to the Cornwall/Devon border, not far from Saltash and the river Tamar. Plymouth is approximately 20 minutes' drive away, and National Trust properties at Cotehele and Lanhydrock are within easy driving distance. Slightly further afield are the magnificent Lost Gardens of Heligan and the world-famous Eden Project. The region offers excellent walking on Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor, and there are superb beaches and traditional fishing villages within a 20-30 minute drive. A large Waitrose supermarket is conveniently situated 5 miles away on the road to Plymouth.
