Located in a quiet cul-de-sac, St Raphael is just 600 metres from York Minster. Restaurants, The National Railway Museum, The Shambles, Jorvik Viking Centre, the Castle Museum and York Rail station are all less than 15 minutes away on foot. With fresh flowers, each light and airy room also has a private bathroom with shower. All themed rooms feature a reading chair, TV, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. Free Wi-Fi internet is available, along with laundry services. Set in a mock-Tudor building dating back to 1900, breakfast is served in the traditional dining room with large windows and fireplace. St Raphael Guest House’s award-winning breakfast features freshly-baked, homemade breads as well as a cooked English Breakfast.

We love to meet our guests and tell them about York and what to look out for so they get the most out of their stay.

Property information

A traditional building built in 1895 with original decor. We are a family run and independent guest house that focuses on service and helping our guests have the best experience possible. We pride ourselves on our clean rooms and breakfast offer.

Neighbourhood information

We get great feedback on our location. It is a couple of minute walk into the city centre, no need for a car or public transport. We also have a scenic walk to the city centre which takes 5 mins and take our guests through the museum gardens, steeped in history.
