We are Cindy and Lina, owners and long-time hosts of Stag Cottage – The New Forest Romantic Hideaway. With a background in counselling, life coaching and foster care, our hosting style is warm, personalised, and respectful of guest privacy. We love helping families and couples create memorable experiences, whether that’s a romantic celebration, a child’s first pony sighting, or a relaxing retreat in nature. From special occasion extras to tailored local advice, we’re on hand to make your stay as effortless as it is enjoyable.

Tucked away near the charming village of Burley, Stag Cottage is a thatched two-bedroom holiday home offering comfort, privacy and woodland adventure. Sleeping up to 6 guests plus an infant, this cosy retreat includes a private games room, enclosed garden, cold-water plunge pool, and Lazy Spa hot tub (Extra cost). Inside, enjoy a comfortable living room with leather sofas, 55” smart TV and a large dining table. The compact but well-equipped kitchen includes a fridge with ice box, two-ring hob, combination microwave, 3-tier air fryer, steamer, kettle, toaster, pans, utensils, crockery, wine glasses and BBQ tools. Upstairs, one bedroom has a double and two single beds; the second has two singles and a travel cot if needed. A walk-in shower room is located on the ground floor. Child-friendly features include stair gates, a highchair, baby bath, toddler play table and themed bedding. Outdoors, enjoy a large private garden, sun loungers, fire pit and BBQ. The Lazy Spa hot tub (seats 2–4) and plunge pool are for guest use only. The games room includes a slate-bed pool table, table football, darts, basketball hoop, yoga mats, and gym equipment (used at guests’ own risk). Small, well-behaved dogs are welcome (Twenty five per pet, per stay). Dog towels, water bowls and treats are provided. One private parking space is included. The hosts live in a nearby house, respect your privacy, and are happy to help with local tips. The cottage is just 1 mile from Burley village and ideally placed for exploring the New Forest, Paultons Park, Peppa Pig World, and Bournemouth beaches. The hot tub is optional, twenty five pounds for the first night, fifteen pounds per extra night, payable post-booking. Must be pre-booked to ensure it’s heated for arrival. Smoking not permitted. Parties not allowed. Quiet celebrations welcome.

Stag Cottage is located in a peaceful setting just outside Burley, a New Forest village famed for its wild ponies, ice cream parlours, tea rooms and folklore. Guests love walking or cycling from the front door into the open forest, with scenic trails and wildlife all around. Within minutes you can reach Paultons Park and Peppa Pig World, Liberty’s Reptile and Bird Centre, and New Forest Cycle Hire. Burley’s pubs and shops are just one mile away, while Ringwood’s market, supermarkets and restaurants are a short drive. It’s the perfect base for exploring the New Forest’s beauty and Bournemouth’s beaches.
