A short stroll brings you to The Swan Inn, part of the Hotel & Spa where you can treat yourself to evening meals, afternoon teas, lunch and breakfasts by the river. They also have a relaxing spa with many treatments. Head to Fell-Foot Park on Lake Windermere where there are activities to suit all tastes; sailing, paddleboarding, kayaking, canoeing, open water swimming. Drive into Bowness on Windermere 15mins drive away and hire your own boat, cruising along at your own pace. There are plenty of shops, restaurants and don't forget traditional lakes ice cream shops! Take a ride on the Traditional Steam Train or visit the Lakeland Motor Museum in Backbarrow a short drive away. On rainy days there is the option to take the family to the Lakes Aquarium 10mins away where you can see many different fish, sea otters and string rays. The cottage has its own designated Free Parking space at the front. You can also park up and travel by Bus to different locations as well as using local taxi companies.
