Sunny Dene is a spacious brick and flint cottage sleeping six people, which our owners have lovingly restored into a gorgeous self-catering holiday cottage. The former farm building is ideal for couples, friends and families who want to use the cottage as a base to explore the fantastic beaches and countryside Norfolk has to offer. Sunny Dene Cottage sleeps 6 in total and there are bedrooms and a bathroom on both floors. With a full bathroom upstairs and well-appointed shower room downstairs, a roomy double bedroom downstairs, and a king size and large single upstairs, there is also a 3ft day bed in the living area, which is ideal for a small child. There is on site parking for one car on the driveway with plenty more on the road out front. The fast wifi is available and free for guests to use The owners apologise but they do not accept pets The coastline is under 1.5 miles away Rural setting with walks from the front door Log burner in lounge No smoking or vaping inside the property please Sunny Dene Cottage is not suitable for wheelchairs due to some shallow steps between rooms but with a downstairs bedroom and shower room, the cottage is suitable for guests with limited mobility. We welcome children at Sunny Dene Cottage and there are some toys to play with. However, parents of young children need to be aware that the property is not toddler proof and that guests would need to bring their own travel cot. All towels and bedding are provided There is a hairdryer in the main bedroom There is a retractable outside washing line and a clothes airer. Wood and kindling are provided for the woodburner. Within 1-3 miles of Knapton there is a choice of corner shops and supermarkets.

Sunny Dene Cottage is located in the tranquil North Norfolk village of Knapton, which is just a mile and a half from Mundesley (4 minutes by car!), under 10 miles from the ever popular family resort of Cromer, and under 19 miles from Norwich. Mundesley is a charming village with shops, pubs, restaurants and of course, the gorgeous sandy beach. There are toilets on the beach, plenty of parking, and beachside shops selling buckets and spades and other beach essentials. The Ship pub has a spacious garden overlooking the sea, lovely restaurant and a new fish and chip takeaway. The village is a 30 minute walk along a main road, but without pathway or pavements, it may be for the more experienced walker. Walcott Beach is more accessible, with roadside parking, several steps down to the beach, a cafe, shop, fish and chip shop and toilets opposite. For a quieter stretch of beach Bacton and Trimingham are nearby, with stunning views on the drive down to the car park. Bacton is known for its very quiet sandy beaches offering miles of walking along the beach and cliffs. The England Coast Path passes through the village and also the Paston Way long-distance footpath, linking Cromer and North Walsham. The bustling market town of Norwich is about 45 minutes away with its picturesque lanes, buzzy market, cultural displays and dining treats. And of course there are our two famous Cathedrals and Norwich Castle, which was built by the Normans as a Palace over 900 years ago. It is now a museum and art gallery where children can discover more about East Anglia’s own Queen Boudicca. The Museum of Norwich is packed full of exhibitions and interactive displays, or why not enjoy taking the hop-on-hop-off bus to see the city.
