We are based in the local area so we have great knowledge of all that you can do to make wonderful memories on your holiday. We are also just a phone call away if you need help for any reason, living close to all of the cottages we are on hand if there are any issues during your stay. This gives our owners peace of mind that their homes and guests are being well looked after with a caring, personal service.

Tanamuir is a charming cottage sitting in the heart of the village of Strachur, overlooking the beautiful Loch Fyne in Argyll. The house is dog friendly with an enclosed garden and accommodates 8 people either 7 adults or 6 adults and 2 children, it is beautifully furnished throughout offering great views from all the rooms. There is a FREE EV CHARGER so you can explore the area with no worries. The open plan cosy sitting /dining room has a wood-burning stove at its heart, with comfy seating to curl up on around it whilst enjoying the gorgeous views over the water outside. This room leads on to a decked balcony, the ideal spot for sitting watching the sun go down over the loch. There is an additional spacious lounge upstairs with a 2nd TV, no arguments over what to watch of an evening! There is also an extremely comfortable sofa bed in this room that would accommodate one adult or 2 children. The spacious kitchen is very well equipped with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. There are 3 double bedrooms available in the house, 2 are located on the ground floor, one of which has an en-suite shower room and the other is beside a family shower/bathroom, a third bedroom is upstairs they are all tastefully decorated and offer maximum comfort for a great night’s sleep. Outside parking is on the driveway in front of the house with room for 2 cars. Cross the road to the beach and you can walk all the way to the famous dog friendly Creggans Inn for a lovely meal, drink, game of darts or pool, tide permitting. Bring your paddle board or Kayak and you can enjoy being on the water in under a minute from the front door, also a popular spot for wild swimming. There is a handy shop, post office and tearoom just across the road for handy essentials.

The location is absolutely perfect for exploring all that Argyll has to offer. Handy for many lovely restaurants, Inverary Castle, horse riding, fishing, golf, boat trips, day trips to Bute, Gigha, Oban, Kintyre the list is actually endless! And, with the FREE EV Charger at the house you will be free to explore the area with no worries if you have an electric vehicle.
