Anything to do with the sea, watersports, boats, anything in, on or under the water. Walking my two spaniels in the local area around my cottage or at one of the many beaches. Riding my bike and frequenting one of the many fine local pubs and eateries
Rye and surrounding areas has so much to offer. There is barely a weekend in Rye throughout the year that doesn’t have a festival or events going on, we celebrate just about everything in fine style. Christmas, Bonfire, International Jazz, Arts Festival, Scallop Week, Pirates and Smugglers, you name it. An amazing amount of award winning pubs and eateries of all kinds. Hundreds of years of history, it’s like walking onto a period film set, literally. Enjoy exploring all our nooks and crannies and then head to one of our many local beaches, or explore the Bigh Weald and Romney Marsh. This place has it all, except a Starbucks, we definitely don’t have one of those (or any other big chains for that matter!)
