Host review score
A delightful charming Victorian cottage formerly the servants quarters that served the main house still boasts some original features within. With a large lounge, 2 double bedrooms, shower room, kitchen and dining area, the cottage can accommodate between 2 to 6 persons. This little hideaway is ideal for those out to venture or lazy nights in front of the open fire. Private garden and patio area for barbeques.
Ideally located in the Central Belt in a rural location just 6 miles south of Falkirk, the cottage is within easy reach of Falkirk High, Polmont or Caldercruix railway stations giving direct access to Glasgow, Edinburgh, Stirling and beyond. Falkirk itself is steeped in history from roman times (Antonine Wall) through to The Wars of Independance (Battle of Falkirk) and today boasts the worlds only rotating boat lift serving the Forth & Clyde and Union Canals, worthy a visit, not forgetting Callendar House and the Kelpies also. With challenging roads and dirt tracks, it is a Haven for keen cyclists and off road mountain bikers as well.
