Kayaking and Canoeing SY4 1EB 12 miles 26 minutes away a great place for the whole family to enjoy. Lots of our guests like to visit Shrewsbury Prison a great morning out. Head into Church Stretton, it's beautiful with a beautiful park and lots of lovely cafes. Stiperstone Nature Reserve SY5 ONF 22 minutes away, one of our favourite places, is beautiful for walking and cycling. Shrewsbury Museum and Art Gallery SY1 1LG 9 miles 25 mins away Attingham Park National Trust SY4 4TP 12 miles 27 minutes away, looking at the coming month's events they look pretty impressive. Carding Mill Valley and Long Mynd, SY6 6JG 9 miles 26 minutes away. The Mynd is a heath and moorland plateau. This like the Lodge is an area of outstanding natural beauty and trust me it is stunning and worth a morning/afternoon out, look at the event schedule. One of our favourite places on a Sunday for lunch is our local pub, The White Horse they do a lovely carvery within walking distance, lunch is served between 12-2 pm. There are lots of other pubs locally and all are dog friendly too !! We have over 50 local walking routes in our area alone, if rambling is something you love you will be at home here. Plenty of golf courses to choose from, Neil has tried most!
