The Nook is a perfect little bolt hole to come and stay in to enjoy beautiful North Devon. It is attached to the owners property but has its own entrance with a key safe which ensures speedy check in. The room is located on the ground floor via one step and has its own kitchenette area with oven, fridge, washing machine, kettle, toaster and microwave and free WiFi. (There is no breakfast provided by the host) The en-suite bathroom is new from Sept 2025. There is a small double bed (122cm wide,192cm long approx) with cosy bedding. There is free parking right outside The Nook in our own drive. (Please note -we are NOT able to provide charging for electric cars at The Nook but there are several points nearby that do) We have cats at the property who are not allowed in The Nook but who do live with us in the main house. We are approx 1.8 miles from the main town of Barnstaple in a nearby residential area. For surfers we are near to some of the most amazing surfing beaches at Saunton, Croyde and Woolacombe (see the photos above of the NEARBY beaches) and we also have outdoor drying for wet suits, for walkers we are very near to the North Devon coast path and Exmoor, for cyclists we can offer our locked garage for overnight safety for bicycles, for a romantic getaway we are somewhere to relax and for those seeking a break we can offer many suggestions for things to do and places to visit including the stunning local markets. (Please note the Nook has two lovely large windows to give an airy feel, these windows are covered in venetian blinds which DO NOT give total black out in the summer months so please be aware of this before you book if this will impact on your sleep, we do, however, provide disposable sleeping masks to help with this -thanks! Also a good time to mention The Nook is STRICTLY NON-SMOKING and non vaping. We do not allow ANY smoking or vaping on our property including the drive or garden. We do not accept pets. Any questions? Barnstaple is a beautiful market town situated in stunning North Devon. We can offer stunning surfing beaches, Exmoor and the Tarka Trail, Devon cream teas and so many places to see and visit. For those without their own transport there are local buses, trains and taxis.
