Located in Hoxne, The Pottage is a beautiful retreat in the peaceful Waveney valley in Suffolk, with wonderfully decorated accommodation, an airy and extensive open plan living area and a lovely courtyard garden. The cottage was completely renovated in 2019 by the artist owners and their sensibilities shine in every detail of the immaculate interior. Within walking distance of the Pottage is the beautiful village of Hoxne which is steeped in history, with King Edmund having been martyred by the Danes just a stones throw from the market square. Hoxne is host to a handful essential amenities, including The Swan Inn of Hoxne, an excellent pub with restaurant and Hoxne Post Office, shop, cafe and delicatessen stocking a wide range of food, drink and household goods. Just a short drive away there are a number of other eateries and pubs. The Fox and Goose in Fressingfield (six miles) and The Auberge at Eye (five miles), come highly recommended.
