The Snug @ Corry Cottage is an annex to a 17th Century Northumbrian Cottage set in the small peaceful and picturesque hamlet of Redpath situated between the town of Haltwhistle and Greenhead. The Snug is self-contained with own private entrance from the garden and consists of a bedroom with king sized bed, seating area, TV and tea/coffee making facilities. There is a separate en-suite shower room/toilet. Use of barbeque and outside seating area is available to guests along with off road parking for one vehicle with excellent transport links close by. Early/late check in by prior arrangement.
Redpath is set within the Northumberland Dark Sky Park just south of the A69 Newcastle to Carlisle road which has a regular bus service. Nearby Haltwhistle railway station serves the Tyne Valley Northern Rail service providing links to the East and West Coast main lines. Hadrian’s Wall and associated long distance footpath and the Pennine Way pass close by as do Sustrans Cycle Ways Routes 68 and 72. We are within easy travelling distance of Hadrian’s Wall and its many attractions, The Sill Visitor Centre, Housesteads, Vindolanda and Roman Army Museum. Other local attractions are Haltwhistle (Centre of Britain) with its open air swimming pools and shops, Thirlwall Castle and Featherstone Castle and the newly extended South Tyne Steam Railway. Kielder Forest and Water, Newcastle upon Tyne, Carlisle, Lake District, Gretna Green and Northumbrian coast are also all within easy reach.
