The Snug is a charming one bedroom annexe conveniently situated a 2 minute walk from the beach and South West Coast Path and 1 minute away from the first tee at the Minehead and West Somerset Golf Club, Somersets oldest Golf Course. The Snug is newly renovated and has been converted from an old store that dates back to the 1600s. It is a warm, cosy space with all the home comforts you might need. The Snug is attached to our family home, we have young children, dogs and cats that do like to enjoy saying hello if the opportunity presents itself! We are also in close proximity to Butlins which can occasionally mean that their entertainment can be heard from within The Snug (most evenings finish at 10.30). Whilst this is rare and often dependent on which way the wind is blowing, we would rather let you know in advance of your arrival. We welcome dogs to stay for a small fee. We ask that they are not left unaccompanied during your stay and that they don’t go on the beds or sofa please.

We're a family of 4 (plus a dog and a cat!) who have poured our heart and soul into The Snug and built it almost single-handedly. We work in the Environment and Heritage sector in the local area and love being able to give our guests the best possible visit to Minehead. We will keep ourselves to ourselves but if you need anything, we're just a phone call or message away. Danny is a keen fisherman (fly and sea) and golfer, we both love walking, eating and enjoying the quieter side of life. Whilst our children (6 and 1) like exactly what you'd expect - playing and eating!

As we are so close to the beach and almost set upon the Coast Path we are the perfect stop off for walkers and beach lovers. Minehead is the gateway to Exmoor which also offers some of the most picturesque walks you can imagine. Within a 15 minute radius of The Snug there is enough to keep you entertained for as long as you might need. Take a trip on the Steam Railway, visit the famous Dunster Castle, visit the seaside town of Watchet or take a fishing trip from Minehead Harbour. Alternatively, jump onto the first tee at Minehead & West Somerset Golf Club and play 18 holes on the oldest links course in Somerset.
