The Isle of Anglesey is a paradise for walkers, bird watchers and watersports enthusiasts, with miles of coastline and beaches, and the Anglesey coastal path is very close by. Winner of the Green Coast seaside award, the nearby village of Rhosneigr is within walking distance of The Studio Ty Haul and has two broad sandy beaches, with rocky outcrops and dramatic sand dunes. It is a popular centre for all water sports. Also Anglesey Golf Club welcomes visitors, just outside the village. There are plenty of pubs and cafes to choose from in the area. With a rugged, beautiful coastline and rich natural beauty Anglesey is home to 18 nature reserves, with Llyn Maelog right on the doorstep of The Studio Ty Haul. The RSPB has nature reserves with easy access to view impressive numbers of birds. There is also Eryri/Snowdonia National Park just a short drive away on the mainland – an outdoor enthusiasts mecca. With plenty of historic interest in the area, Cadw (who manages historical buildings and ancient monuments in Wales) has a good list of interesting sites including castles, standing stones, forts and burial chambers on and around Anglesey.
