Tyne Square is a ground floor flat located in a Grade II listed Georgian building. Set opposite a beautifully landscaped square and close to the popular foodie spots of the Fish Quay and Tynemouth. We’ve put our heart, soul, and holiday let experience into this renovation. We set it up for family and friends to visit and decided to rent it out in between those times. We like to think we’ve got it all covered from the Tassimo machine to the Space Invaders game. Young and old will love hanging out in our basement room. When this was a house back in the 1800s the basement would have been the kitchen for the main house - we kept the original brick cold stores as a feature and it turns out it’s a great spot to keep wine! The space is of course fully carpeted and heated and cosy- but tight on head height though so if you’re over 6 ft don’t forget to duck! There's a large smart TV, comfy seating, and old-school arcade console. The main floor has a separate living room with tv, couch, Bond-like swivel chairs, and a tall table for watching the world go by on The Square. There are 2 bedrooms - one with a king bed and the other with 2 singles. The luxury bathroom is fully tiled with a large walk-in shower. You’ll find the place set up with high-end bedding and big fluffy towels. The kitchen diner has everything you need including a dishwasher and washer dryer, and it opens out to a private courtyard. Whether you're travelling for work or leisure you will appreciate the high-end finish and amenities this place has to offer.

I moved back to the North East after 25 years. I left to join the Wrens then spent a number of years accompanying my military husband on postings all over the world. I'm loving being back! I don't think I appreciated the place when I was younger but I realise now how lucky we are to have such an amazing stretch of coastline right on our doorstep, outstanding restaurants, easy reach of the city and the stunning countryside of Northumberland. The Square has undergone huge regeneration and its historic properties have been lovingly restored. Just a short walk to North Shields Fish Quay where you'll find lots of new bars and restaurants - it is fast becoming the new foodie central of North Tyneside. Surfers and paddle boarders love to head to Tynemouth's Longsands beach just over a mile away - and the town itself has a wonderful selection of independent shops and eateries. North Shields metro station is a couple of minutes' walk from the flat and provides quick and easy transport links to the centre of Newcastle and the airport.
