Underhill Holiday Cottage is your idyllic home away from home, offering stylish open-plan self-catering accommodation for up to two people. Nestled in a tranquil haven far removed from the hustle and bustle of the main road, this enchanting retreat boasts breathtaking views across the Esk Valley. Perfectly positioned between the vibrant seaside town of Whitby and the serene splendour of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. Underhill Holiday Cottage features a fully equipped open-plan kitchen, dining, and living area, complete with all the essentials to create mouth-watering dishes. After dinner, sink into the cosy leather sofa or the gentleman's chair to enjoy a film or plan the next day's adventure. The spacious bedroom offers a comfortable double bed and French doors that lead onto a private patio area, where guests can indulge in alfresco dining. Due to the idyllic location of Underhill Holiday Cottage, some low suspension vehicles may struggle over the cattle grids.

We are a family of 4, and we live onsite with our friendly black labrador Ralph. We live in the main building and are always on hand should you have any questions, but we generally leave guests alone to enjoy their break away.

Sleights is an attractive, well served village with a mini market, pub, butcher, bakery, fish and chip takeaway/restaurant, tea room, and numerous cafes along the River Esk. The North Yorkshire Moors National Park is on the doorstep with easy access to villages like Goathland (Heartbeat country) and Grosmont, where you can step back in time on the famous steam railway. There are glorious walks nearby, including the Cleveland Way, which offers miles of walks across the old railway line.
