Bourton-on-the-Water is one of the most picturesque villages in the Cotswolds. Honey-hued cottages line the gently flowing River Windrush which is crossed on charming stone bridges, giving the town its name “The Venice of the Cotswolds”. Wildflowers Cottage is a short stroll from the centre letting you explore the delights before retreating from the hustle and bustle at the end of the day. Sleeping six with a maximum of four adults, the hub of the home will be the sitting/dining area. Open the doors out to the garden and have a family meal together before gathering to watch TV and unwind. Bourton-on-the-Water is a popular destination for a reason, there is so much to do here. Bourton-on-the-Water is rightfully one of the Cotswolds most visited villages with a wealth of attractions, delightful shops and eating establishments to suit everyone’s taste. The River Windrush flows through the centre, and is spanned by several, low arched bridges flanked by wide village greens and lovely period Cotswold stone buildings, giving the village its well-known moniker of Venice of the Cotswolds. Wildflowers Cottage is a short walk from the river and its beautiful bridges, making it the perfect place to visit all the sights, including the Model Village, Birdland Park and Gardens, the Motor Museum, the Dragonfly Maze and the Cotswold Brewing Company.
