The bedrooms consist of a super-king-size (zip/link) and twin, serviced by a bathroom. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen, and towels are included in the rent. Outside, there is an enclosed front garden with patio and furniture, bike storage, and permit parking for one car, plus additional parking in a free public car park nearby (please note this extra car park is down hill). Shop 1.2 miles, pub 0.4 miles, lake 0.1 miles. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Whatever the weather, a wonderful stay awaits at Woodman's Cottage. This property is around 250 years old, so there are steep stairs and low ceilings in some areas, including the stairwell and a few bedrooms. A handrail is provided, but please take care when moving around. This property is also located on a hill so may not be suitable for people who struggle with mobility. Note: Step up into the bathroom. This stunning little village sits just outside of Wakefield in West Yorkshire, just North East of the Peak District National Park. This is a great base for a cottage holiday in Yorkshire, this area has just about everything. Newmillerdam itself is a splendid little village with a choice of well-respected pubs and cafés to enjoy, as well as being home to the Newmiller Dam Country Park which provides excellent views as well as opportunities to walk and cycle around the lake. Surrounding the village there is something for everybody with a choice of parks, a golf club, watersports centre and some pretty villages and towns to visit. Wakefield is within easy reach and is well worth a visit with its great range of shopping, eating, drinking and activities. For you outdoor enthusiasts, the Peak District National Park is around 15 miles away with its stunning scenery and walking and cycling opportunities. This is the perfect place for you rugby league fans as Huddersfield, Castleford, Leeds, Wakefield and Bradford are all accessible from Newmilerdam should you want to watch a game whilst you're here.
