At the Ikarian Center we offer Greek language courses to foreign speakers along with accommodation. The hostel has been built to accommodate our Greek language courses and students. During certain times of the year when we do not offer courses or other activities, you can book a room for simple accommodation, without participation in seminars or courses,

Direct contact with nature, tranquility and views of the mountains and the sea that surround the guesthouse are the main features of staying here. On clear nights you can enjoy the spectacle of the galaxy and the starry sky. The area is ideal for hiking and bird watching. The guesthouse includes common areas for working, eating, studying or relaxing. The rooms are located in 3 small independent buildings, each building includes three independent rooms. Each room has a separate external entrance, private bathroom and kitchenette and can accommodate up to 2 people, adults or children We are located in the mountain, outside the settlements, surrounded by the natural environment of the mountain, so there is NO air conditioning or television. There is natural ventilation and a fan in all rooms and at night it is cool and quiet enough for a good sleep, if you do not keep the windows tightly closed all day. For the colder periods there is heating. There is also free wifi around 30mb / upload - download So if you want to work online you can use the shared workspaces and the fast Internet that is available everywhere. The area is ideal for walking in the mountains, but we do not offer organized hikes, nor activities to guests who book simple accommodation through platforms. We are located in an isolated location between the villages of Arethousa (20 minutes walk) and Karavostamo (50 minutes walk) To explore the island and for your basic movements to the beaches or other settlements you will need to have your own means of transport. If you come in August without a means of transport, you will need to book a car or scooter before your arrival. In the other periods you will be able to find a vehicle even after your arrival on the island. The condition of the road leading to our facilities is good (asphalted mountain community road)

In Arethousa, a settlement of 100 inhabitants (1.5Km, 15 minutes by foot) you can find a cafe and a tavern. In Karavostamo (3Km, less than 10' by car and 50' by foot) several taverns, grocery stores, cafes and bars operate all year round. The port of northern Ikaria, Evdilos, is 8 Km away.
