Ligaria is a small village at the outskirts of Heraklion City and is the perfect location to explore the whole island since it is just next to the high way exit for the eastern & western part of the island.
The beach is very beautiful with coarse sand and turquoise calm water, while the small boats create magic scenery.
Bakery/Super Market / ATM/Restaurants are all in walking distance from the house.
If you want to explore the rest of the island the best way is a car rental!
