On the upper floor, there is a second bathroom with a bathtub. Finally, there is a large open space with a closet and a sofa that converts into a double bed. It is a clean, pleasant, 86 sqm stone house with all amenities and its own courtyards. In the surrounding area, you can go cycling, fishing, canoeing, horseback riding, and hiking. The nearest airport is the State Airport of Nea Anchialos, 154 km away from the property. You can also plan a day trip from Kalyvia Fylaktis to Meteora (1 hour and 20 minutes), as well as to Pertouli and Elati of Trikala (1 hour and 25 minutes). We often speak of the luck we have to live in a beautiful country, endowed by nature. Lake Plastira, the jewel of Thessaly, is an exception to this. Not that it's not a beautiful place with stunning nature, of course it is. But it's a place that was created with human intervention, one of the rare cases where human hands collaborate in creating a natural environment of unparalleled beauty. Formed in 1959 with the completion of the dam at the southern end of the Tauros River or Megdova, the idea for its construction belongs to Nikolaos Plastiras and bears his stamp, as from the moment of conception of the idea until his death, he fervently supported and promoted its construction, although he did not live to see it. The 220m long dam restrained the waters of Tauros, which covered the Nevropolis plateau and created Lake Plastira (Tauros). The waters of the lake supply the DEI hydroelectric plant. They irrigate the Thessalian plain and supply water to the city along with 38 municipalities and villages of the prefecture, and the wider region of Thessaly.
