Phlea Farm is located in Alinda bay about 2 minutes walk from the sea. It is home to around 500 very old trees – oranges, tangerines, lemons, guavas, olives – some of which are over 100 years old. Since 5 years now we started implementing the principles of Natural Farming according to Masanobu Fukuoka on the farm with the goal of maximising biodiversity and creating a healthy and balanced environment. The farm has 2 studios and a workshop space planted within a grove of tangerines and oranges where guests can relax to the sounds of nature and enjoy the refreshing summer breezes. They are newly renovated combining minimal design and traditional elements and are very well equipped for short or longer stays. Each season on the farm creates a completely different experience for the senses when living in one of the studios. Whether it is the intense aroma of blossoms in spring time, the wild herbs of the dry summer or the vivid colours of fresh citrus fruits in December there is always something new to explore for all your senses. Ioannis has a passion for Natural Farming and sustainability. Inspired by the teachings of Masanobu Fukuoka, he founded Phlea Farm and lives his everyday life in harmony with nature and its beings. His vision is to spread the knowledge of Natural Farming and make Leros a green island. He enjoys meeting interesting people, sharing life experiences and having philosophical discussions.
