My name is Tonia, I am from Corfu and I work as an architect. "Viaggio" is one of the very few surviving low rise terraced houses of the Venetian period in the whole of the historical centre of Corfu Town. Situated in a picturesque alley a few steps from Spianada Square, everything the Old Town has to offer is quite literally on your doorstep. A family home of generations innovatively restored into a luxurious yet authentic home for visitors who seek to experience the island as locals, without compromising on quality. "Viaggio" is the result of a creative and delicate restoration project that was formulated and implemented by me and the team of "Architechnio", a Corfu based architectural office of which I am part of. Our aim was to create a functional and space efficient layout, all the while preserving and enchancing the original features of the house. In doing so we used natural materials like wood, stone and glass and employed interior design techniques and innovative practices in order to create a space that is both aesthetically pleasing as well as practical. The house entrance is accessed from a little alley some 20 metres off Spianada Square. Being a house and having ultra sound proof windows and doors means that you can be 100% confident that you will be completely undisturbed from noise and noise transfer, a problem that is very common and integral to the multistory old buildings of the historical centre. The two-story house is connected by a custom LED-lit staircase. The ground floor has an open-plan living, dining, and kitchen area, plus a WC. The kitchen is fully equipped, and the living area features a sofa, armchair, and 50" Smart TV with Netflix. Upstairs, the bedroom has a king-size bed (splittable into two singles), a dressing table/desk, an armchair, and another 50" Smart TV. The bathroom includes a toilet, wet-room shower, washbasin, and washing machine. A walk-in wardrobe offers open storage and a suitcase bench. The house has adjustable lighting, air conditioning on both floors, and climate control.

The house is located at the centre of old Town of Corfu (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), a stones throw away of Spianada square which is among the largest squares in Europe. Despite of the house being just 20 metres off the Square it is nevertheless very quiet due to the fact that is is located in a little alley with no car access. The other side of the alley leads to the Old Town Hall Square with its impressive architecture. Within 5 minutes walking radius around the house you will find everything that you may need during your stay along with all the attractions and monuments of the Old town of Corfu.
