My name is Eleni,and I'm mother of George and Savvina. I'm from Rhodes and I've stundied geology and gemmology. I love the nature,and the tradition of my island,Rhodes. I enjoy the calmness of the village,the old houses around,the traditional tavernas,and the beautiful nature that surrounds it and I want to share it with you. We welcome you in a traditional rhodian house in Soroni,built in 1919. In this house lived my grandparents,Dimitris and Eleni Kritikou with their six children. The house was rebuilt by my parents,in 1980 and since then we've spent lots of summer holidays! Most of the main parts of the house were kept as they used to be,like the big arch in the main room,the traditional bed,soufas, and the fireplace,tsimia. The decoration is also like the past with the ceramic plates and the big old mirror in the main hall. The upper bedroom offers a magnificent view to the village and the romanic sunset. the big yard is ideal for relaxing,sunbathing,barbeque,and also suitable to place heavy equipment such as watersports boards.

Soroni is a village 25km. far from the city of Rhodes. The village is settled between the mountains and the sea. One of the nicest places 3km far from the main village is the park of AGIOS SOULAS. It's a place in the forest with an monestry and a spring with healing water. You have the possibility of lots of activities and sports,such as tennis, football and basketball courts, restaurants,pick nick places,etc. If you are lucky you can meet the typical rhodian dears" dama dama " that live in the forest. Not far from Soroni you can visit the ancient city of Kamiros,one of the four ancient cities of Rhodes,and you can eat fresh fish and Greek sea food,at the fish restaurants around Kamiros area.There is a frequent bus service to take you there. Finally in Soroni you will have no lack of something as there is a supermarket,farmacy,tavernas,pizza restaurant,snack bars,gift shops rent a car office,medical doctor and lot of other facilities. It's a nice place for happy holidays far from the noice and the crowd of the big city. YOU ARE REALLY WELCOMED!
