- House with a beautiful backyard overlooking the lake and only a one minute walk from the public dock. Our backyard features a swinging bench and a few tables to chill, eat or work at. Our backyard also has two gorgeous, mature trees providing the yard with shade throughout the day. - El Remate is an amazing, not so well known gem here in Petén. Located just 20 minutes from Tikal, it is THE spot to see while you make the trip to the northern jungle of Guatemala. It is super safe, you will see local and international kids hanging out together; playing at the basketball court in the town’s center and swimming at the public docks. El Remate is the perfect place to relax and unwind, with countless swimming spots in the beautiful Lake Petén Itza and two lagoons nearby.
