With a lifelong passion for hospitality, we both come from tourism backgrounds. Ivana has worked in hotels and restaurants, while Šime has experience in retail and as a private transfer driver. Together, we’ve created Villa Leona as a place where guests can feel truly welcome and at ease. We love meeting new people, learning about different cultures, and sharing the beauty of our region. We’re both fluent in English and understand Italian (Šime speaks it a bit more confidently). Nestled between Zaton and Trsteno along the Adriatic Highway, Orašac offers the perfect balance – close enough to the city for day trips, yet far from the crowds and city noise. Orašac is known for its natural beauty, peaceful atmosphere, safety, and stunning sunsets. You’ll also find scenic walking paths ideal for exploring the surrounding nature. According to local legend, the village got its name from walnuts (orah in Croatian). In the past, the people of Orašac cultivated walnut trees, but most were cut down during the construction of 15 Dubrovnik ships in Gruž after the fall of the Republic of Dubrovnik. Today, Orašac is a romantic retreat with rich tradition and a strong connection to nature – a perfect base for those seeking an authentic Dalmatian experience.
