Our big cosy couch, with furnishings from McNutt of Donegal, is ideal for snuggling up in front of the wood-burning stove, playing board games or just watching a movie. We understand that whilst most guests will come to to relax, unwind and switch-off, some may need to have a bit of a working holiday. Our Starlink internet ensures fast and reliable internet. Foxglove Cottage is a small, family-run business in the heart of West Cork, run by husband and wife team, Matt and Anna. Matt, originally from the Scottish Highlands has over 20+ years working in carpentry and building luxury homes. As well as working on land, Matt also spent some years working at sea on super yachts. He even made his way up to be a Captain. Working in such luxury and stylish surroundings on yachts, helped to inspire design ideas for his building projects. Foxglove Cottage is testament to that. Matt has put so much thought and learnt knowledge into design approaches to really create that 'wow' factor, both inside and the cottage. Anna, from Ireland has worked everywhere from Australia to Antarctica and almost everywhere in between. From youth worker to sheep farmer, divemaster to cafe owner! She also spent time working on superyachts working as a stewardess, divemaster and chef, learning that it is often the smallest thoughtful detail that can elevate guests' experience from a good stay to a GREAT stay! They have put their absolute hearts and souls into creating this cottage and are so excited that their dream has finally come to fruition.

The area is full of beautiful and biking routes straight from the front door. It is quite rural but that means lovely dark skies for star gazing from the hot tub! We are a short drive away from many beaches, bars and restaurants.
