Our house is a 5 minute drive from the sea port village of Kinvara, County Galway. Kinvara is the gateway to the Burren and there are a few restaurants and plenty of pubs there. During the summer months it is a lively spot with the odd sing song or traditional music in the local pubs. Our house is a 3 minute stroll from the local pub where the finest Guinness is served! Just remember to bring cash as there are no card payment facilities available. Traught Beach is just a 10 minute walk and it is a popular spot for year round dipping. Our house is very close to a bend so please be careful when exiting onto the main road. The areas of South Galway and North Clare are beautiful but public transport is virtually non existent. A car is highly advisable. You can book a rental before you arrive in Ireland or at the airport or in most major cities. Bus Eireann is our national bus service which does come to Nogra from Galway, however bus schedules are extremely limited, generally to 1 a day winter and summer.
