✨ Handpicked Decor with Oriental Flair The hosts carefully collected the apartment’s decor over time, drawing inspiration from the richness of oriental interior design. Many of the unique pieces were brought back from their travels: The intricately patterned oriental mirror, a striking framed artwork, and several decorative accessories were sourced in London, while the two antique prints were discovered at an antiques market in Tuscany. The Kilim cushions were specially brought to the "White City" of Ostuni, and other pieces were thoughtfully selected to complete the look. Instead of a traditional wardrobe, a graceful ivory-colored canopy with flowing orange fabric adds both charm and function. Built-in shelves in a niche provide practical storage space. To preserve the home’s natural and original character, the walls have a rustic texture, intentionally left unfinished for a more authentic feel. A white sliding door leads to the bathroom, where conventional tiles were deliberately avoided. Instead, the shower area, enclosed by a crystal-clear glass door, is adorned with travertine mosaic stones. A travertine countertop basin, elegant fittings, a large mirror, and a natural stone floor complete the space with a touch of understated luxury.

🏡 Oriental, Mediterranean, and Uniquely Personal Although this holiday apartment is designed in an oriental style, Porta D’Oriente – the gateway to the East – offers a captivating and harmonious blend of cultures. At the garden entrance, two impressive stone pillars topped with white domes welcome you, while a palm adds a touch of Mediterranean flair. The outdoor area is enclosed by a beautifully crafted dry-stone wall in warm tones of sand and terracotta. A long, white masonry bench invites you to sit back and listen to the soothing sounds of the sea. From here, you have a side sea view, and just a few steps from the front of the building, you'll find direct access to the sea and a charming sandy beach cove. On the lawn, a wooden dining set offers the perfect spot for romantic dinners by candlelight. High-quality materials such as travertine and other natural stones have been used throughout, including the elegant sand-colored stone flooring, giving the home a refined and timeless atmosphere.
