Talia Ortigia Apartment is a 50 sqm apartment located on the first floor of an ancient building in Ortigia, a few steps from Piazza Duomo and the marina of Ortigia. It is located in an ancient palace of Ortigia that hosted Augusto Von Platen during his long stay in Syracuse. Exactly in Via Amalfitania 66, between the marina of Ortigia, Piazza Archimede and Piazza Duomo. The entrance of the building consists of a beautiful courtyard from which a flight of stairs leads to the first floor where we find the entrance of the apartment. The living room, with two windows, has a double sofa bed, smart TV with 42" flat screen, kitchenette equipped with oven, microwave, dishwasher, dishes, pots and everything you need to prepare tasty lunches and dinners during your stay in Ortigia. The bedroom, also very spacious (14 sqm), has a double bed, a comfortable wardrobe, a 32" smart TV and a balcony. The bathroom has a large glass shower and a window. There is a laundry corner, with washing machine, board, iron and clotheshorse. It can accommodate up to 4 people. Renewed in March 2016.

Ortigia is an islet of about 1km square, and you can comfortably explore on foot to admire all its monuments, churches, the baroque palaces and characteristic alleys. The apartment is located in a very central street, a few steps from Piazza Duomo, close to the main shopping street, Corso Matteotti, and the many restaurants and typical locales. Market, delicatessen, tobacco and newsagent are just a few minutes away. The bus stop is also very close. Ortigia is surrounded by a blue sea and crystal clear, where you can swim with beautiful views of ancient buildings, churches and monuments. The Forte Vigliena solarium, made of wooden platforms laid out on the rocks, is just 5 minutes away from Talia (on foot). A little further on you will find "Cala Rossa", a small beach with free access. Outside Ortigia you can reach the beautiful sandy beaches of the coast of Syracuse, the first of which is the Arenella, just 15 minutes by car.
