St. Maire Yoron Sheera Villa occupies an exclusive location overlooking the beautiful Yurigahama sand bar and the “Sheera” beach, named by the islanders. The magnificent sea views from all the rooms, together with the spectacular views of the morning sunrise and the star-studded sky, make for a truly luxurious experience. We are a group made up of islanders and people who are passionate about the island. The islanders or locals are known for their hospitality and friendliness. Our passion to ensure that visitors experience the beauty of the island is very important. We share a lot of the work between us by participating in each other's tasks such as beach cleaning, gardening and most importantly maintaining good communication between us. We believe that by having a good working environment we are able to share and give our guests a great experience.

The island itself is a gem to the eye. Not only the coral reefs and turquoise blue water and white sand, but the flourishing flora and fauna is an aspect to enjoy for nature lovers. The main harvest is sugar cane, but you will see that there are many banana trees, mango farms, cow stalls, goats and even a small family run coffee farm. There are many Shrines scattered on the island that are interesting power spots to visit. You can visit the folk village Minzoku mura to experience the old lifestyles of the islanders, or the southern cross center where you can have a 360 degree view of the island. Yoron is also famous for the phantom beach called Yurigahama. It is a small sand island that appears in the spring/summer season when the tide is low. Here, if you look hard in the sand, there are some sand grains shaped like a star. There are several restaurants, or izakaya where you can also enjoy local cuisine such as the sea weed Mozuku, famous which only grows around Yoron and Okinawa regions, local fish, meat and vegetable dishes as well. Yoron not only produces brown natural sugar from sugar canes, which is the biggest agriculture harvest here, but it's also famous for Yoron sea salt, and many small independent family run businesses that produce sweets, drinks, fruits and vegetables as well as articrafts such as pottery. In the evening, Yoron is also famous for star gazing. On clear nights, it's possible to see the milky way very clearly and is well known to take magnificent photos even with just your phone!
