このたび、石垣島に新しくオープンしました 石垣ゲストハウスオハナです。 街の中心にある、とあるビルのワンフロア。 空港や港からのアクセスの良さ、そして繁華街のど真ん中という立地に心を動かされ、 「ここは旅人たちが行き交う場所になれる」と思い、ゲストハウスを立ち上げました。 当初、この場所はかなり傷んでいましたが、 多くの方のご協力のもと、ほとんど手作りで仕上げることができました。 内装に至らない点もあるかもしれませんが、 その分、手作りならではの温かみを感じていただける空間になったと思っています。 ここで、世界中から訪れる旅人に八重山の魅力を伝え、 出会いや交流が生まれ、旅の思い出を分かち合える—— そんなあたたかい場所を目指しています。 そしてまた、 「あそこに帰りたい」と思っていただけるような宿になれたら、幸いです。 We are Ishigaki Guesthouse OHANA, newly opened here on Ishigaki Island. Our guesthouse occupies a single floor of a building located in the heart of the city. Drawn to its excellent access to the airport and port, and its prime location right in the middle of the bustling town, we envisioned this place as a hub where travelers would come and go—and that vision led us to open this guesthouse. At first, the space was in rough condition. But with the help of many kind people, we managed to renovate it almost entirely by hand. There may still be some imperfections in the interior, but we believe that very handmade quality gives the space its warm and welcoming atmosphere. Here, we hope to share the charm of the Yaeyama Islands with visitors from all over the world, to create moments of connection and encounters between travelers, and to become a place where memories of the journey are shared. And one day, if you find yourself thinking, “I want to go back there,” that would be the greatest reward for us.
