Homestay is run by Linda Meas and her parents who live in the village. The founders of the hoemstay are Linda's aunt and uncle ( both teachers) who helped foreign and local NGOs in post genocide development since 1990s. During that time, they realized the importance of sharing their local experience with people from other parts of the world to help them have a better understanding about Cambodia and the Cambodian people.

Meas Family Homestay was established by Siphen and March in 2001 and is one of the oldest family run homestead in Cambodia. Meas family has been living in the village for generations. They opened their family home to visitors to provide a real immersion into Cambodian village life and culture. Family also have been actively working on developing a sustainable community through village entrepreneurship and handicraft. The property is situated in the middle of the rice fields and lush trees.

Homestay is situated in the middle of the rice fields in a village that is about 7 km from the historical famous temple of Angkor Barei and Phnom Da. There is a traditional weaving community at the homestay that create textiles using traditional skills.
