Tucked away in the quiet green heart of Pannipitiya, Colombo, The Verandah is more than just a homestay — it’s a lived space shaped by creativity, family, and a love for the arts. The name comes from the home’s most cherished feature — the sweeping verandah that wraps around the entrance, open to the garden and the changing light of the day. It’s where mornings begin with tea, conversations flow into the afternoon, and evenings stretch quietly across the wide verandah.
The Verandah is run by a family of three — a father who brings his vision from behind the TV camera, a mother who carries years of experience from Sri Lanka’s tourism world, and their daughter, an architect whose eye for design ties it all together. Each has poured a part of themselves into the house and they have created a space that feels intimate and inspiring- one that welcomes travellers, artists, and dreamers alike to share in its calm and creativity.
