This mandatory government tax is applicable to all guests staying at registered accommodation in Mauritius and is calculated based on the number of guests and nights booked. For security and safety purposes, guests are required to provide full names, identification details, information for any children travelling, vehicle registration numbers, and estimated arrival times prior to check-in. All information will be treated confidentially. Failure to submit the required details timeously may result in delayed or denied check-in. A standard key & breakage deposit is payable before check-in. This amount depends on the standard of the establishment and may be changed at the owner’s / management’s discretion.
