Carnarvon House is tastefully restored from a 19th century Straits Chinese house. We retain the very authentic and classical elements of this pre-world war II heritage house, especially the giant wood carving screen, timber floor, and the little garden under the airwelll. The contemporary designed rooms on the other hand are nice and simple. Every room comes with well working air-conditioner, wall fan, wi-fi, soft lighting and high quality mattress. We hope to provide a comfy staying environment to our guests. Guests have access to the common lounge area at ground floor where they can hangout. Books lover can pick a book they love from the bookshelf to have a read. Book exchange is welcomed. While, TV lovers can always have their TV time at the front lobby. Most importantly, Wifi is available in the room as well. In the common shower rooms area, we provide hair shampoo & shower gel, drinking water machine and hair dryer. Hi, my name is Nicole, I was born and grew up in the beautiful city of Penang. In the year of 2004, I moved to Taiwan and graduated with a major in tourism management three years later. After then, I came back to my country and worked as a tour guide for the past few years. It has taken me all over the world and got me to explore and experience new cultures and since I've been dreaming to start my guesthouse to create a homely and lovely accommodation certainly I have achieved it. I'm truly grateful to run this private boutique guesthouse and aim to deliver a "home away from home" experience for my guest. This fascinating guesthouse is located in the historical Georgetown Penang and just a few minutes' walk away from all the heritage attractions of historical Georgetown and the various eclectic dining options that Penang is famous for. Carnarvon House is located in Carnarvon Lane. We love this lane very much as it is one of the most quiet but also safe residential neighbourhood. The peoples living here are very good example of minimalist, they live life simple but happy! Heritage houses on both side of the lane are beautiful in our eyes. We also located ideally in the heart of George Town. Most of the murals, streets arts, heritage museums, morning markets and nice hawker food stalls are accessible by walking. Again within walking distance, you may easily get to the bus terminal, ferry terminal, convenient shops, money changers, shopping malls, etc.
