Originally a residential home for several local families, LEJU 79 has stood for more than a century. When we discovered it, the house was still in good condition — a quiet witness to time. We carefully preserved its original structure and materials, carrying out only essential renovations at the rear air well area to create a more spacious bathroom with modern fixtures. Most of the original features remain unchanged, complemented by vintage furniture and details that tell stories of a bygone era. Jalan Hang Kasturi – “Tofu Street” If you’re looking for a street full of character, this is it. Jalan Hang Kasturi, known to locals as Tofu Street, is one of Melaka’s oldest lanes — once home to skilled Hakka tinsmiths who crafted everything by hand. Today, the street still holds its old charm, lined with cafés, hawker stalls, and little shops selling painted clogs, trinkets, and antiques. Don’t miss the famous mural of eight running horses as you enter from Jalan Kampung Pantai — a local landmark that greets visitors with heritage and color.
