My apartment is in the heart of De Pijp, one of the hippest neighborhoods in Amsterdam and within walking distance of the museums, Albert Cuyp market and Heineken experience. My Bohemian Loft is a personal space, full of character, quirks and charm. So if you expect a sterile hotelroom you come to the wrong place! My appartment is located in a quiet street with many trees. There are many good restaurants and breakfast places on both corners of the street. There is a supermarket 2 minutes walking distance open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. My apartment dates from 1900 and I have converted it into a loft with wooden floors and old beams on the ceiling, which gives the whole place a warm atmosphere. My interior is personal with a Bohemian look through the furniture and souvenirs from all my travels as a documentary maker. After a day of strolling through Amsterdam, it is wonderful to relax in my romantic round bed that borders a balcony overlooking a beautiful courtyard. In the busy city you experience this place as an oasis of peace, you hear the birds chirping. When the weather is nice you can enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner there. My apartment is furnished with a sleeping place for 2 people. If an extra person wants to stay overnight, I charge 35 euros per night per person.

Welcome to my Bohemian Loft! As a filmmaker I have traveled all over the world, and this is reflected in the design of my home. My space is warm and has a personal touch, so if you are looking for a hotel room, you have come to the wrong place! During my travels I have often stayed with locals from whom I always received the best tips. I used to think "One day I'll buy a hotel and then I'll do that too!" And then the opportunity came to start a hotel in my own home :-) I try to give my guests unique tips, things about Amsterdam that you will never find in a travel guide. I love my city, and I want my guests to enjoy it to the fullest. The first thing you see when you arrive at my house is the enormous amount of bicycles. Amsterdam is a city that is best discovered by bike. So if you dare to do it like us locals, I have bicycles on offer for you! And if not, I will help you navigate public transport. Around the corner from me is Metro 52 and Tram 12-2-24, which all go to the center. The Metro takes 3 minutes, tram 10 minutes, and you can walk to the heart of Amsterdam within 20 minutes.

De Pijp where my home is located is somewhat comparable to the Latin Quarter of Paris, this neighborhood offers an inclusive and eclectic atmosphere that is all its own. With charming boutiques, trendy art galleries and cozy cafés spread across the narrow streets. Within walking distance (10 minutes) is the beautiful Museum Square surrounded by the Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum, Stedelijk Museum and MOCO. De Pijp promises a compelling cultural adventure. A four-minute walk from my apartment is the Albert Cuyp market (open Mon-Sat) with fresh vegetables, fish, Stroopwafels and Poffertjes (small pancakes, a Dutch specialty). Around the market there are all kinds of restaurants (tokos) with delicious dishes from our former colony of Indonesia. The Heineken Experience is a 5-minute walk from the Albert Cuyp Market. From there, boats depart across the street with boat trips through our beautiful Amsterdam canals.
